From Jump Festa's wave of anime announcements to big premieres kicking off 2022, plenty of trailers debuted in time for Christmas.

While Christmas is finally here, this past week has certainly not slowed down in terms of new trailers to hype major 2022 premieres. Leading the charge was the annual anime event Jump Festa, which featured plenty of huge anime announcements and first looks at popular series returns. Not to be outdone, the next wave of cinematic blockbusters are already set to begin the new year in style as theaters gradually see a recovery in box-office receipts.

Here are all the biggest trailers, teasers and promos released the penultimate week of 2021 from film and television, closing out the year with a bang, from anime sneak peeks to the trailers for original programming coming to Disney+, Netflix and HBO Max in the final weeks of 2021 and opening weeks of the new year.

The fourth and final season of Attack on Titan ended its first half on a massive cliffhanger, with Eren battling against his former friend Reiner as part of the devastating war that consumed their fantasy world. Adapting Hajime Isayama's bestselling manga series, which came at an end at the beginning of 2021, the final stretch of episodes for Attack on Titan is shaping up to be as intense as ever, judging by the latest trailer.

Directed by Jun Shishido and Yuichiro Hayashi, the second half of Attack on Titan Season 4 premieres Jan. 10 in Japan and will be available to stream on Crunchyroll and Funimation.

It's been almost a full decade since the original Bleach anime series ended its initial run, and the manga series' final story arc, by creator Tite Kubo, is set to be adapted into a new anime series in 2022. Adapting the Thousand-Year Blood War storyline published after the original series' conclusion in March 2012, the revival sets up Ichigo and the Soul Reapers for new adventures, with plenty of frenetic fights.

Directed by Tomohisa Taguchi, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War premieres October 2022 in Japan.

After his surprise return during The Mandalorian, Boba Fett is ready to take center stage in the upcoming Disney+ original series The Book of Boba Fett. In a new promo, the cast and crew reflect on the importance and inherent cool factor associated with the iconic bounty hunter as Boba and his fellow mercenary Fennec Shand are seen making names for themselves in that galaxy far, far away.

The Book of Boba Fett premieres Dec. 29 on Disney+.

The Naruto sequel anime series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations continues its fifth season in the new year as Boruto and his friends continue to lead the next generation of shinobi. A trailer to prepare audiences for the series' return featured the ominous, new villain Code, while a recap of one of the series' most tragic fights featured Naruto unleashing the power of Baryon Mode in a battle against Isshiki Momoshiki.

Directed by Masayuki Koda, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Season 5 returns Jan. 9 and is available to stream on Hulu and Crunchyroll.

The fantasy anime The Case Study of Vanitas returns for its second set of episodes next month, this time delving into the French legend of the Beast of Gevaudan. Based on the acclaimed manga series by Jun Mochizuki, the anime series explores a steampunk vision of 19th-century France, with the country menaced by all manner of monsters and things that come bump in the night.

Directed by Tomoyuki Itamura, The Case Study of Vanitas Part 2 premieres Jan. 14 in Japan, with Part 1 available to stream on Funimation and Hulu.

After previously running as the post-credits scene for Spider-Man: No Way Home, the teaser trailer for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next epic adventure, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, has officially been shared online. As Doctor Strange finds reality warping around him, with horrors from across the multiverse rising, he teams up with the Scarlet Witch to save all of existence from a growing number of enemies... including himself.

Directed by Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens in theaters May 6.

More details are steadily emerging about the upcoming Dragon Ball Super anime film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, including a new trailer. Expanding on the trailer released on October, the new look at Super Hero has Gohan leap into action, once again wearing the training gear worn by his mentor Piccolo while new enemies menace the Z Fighters in what's quickly shaping up to be an explosive showdown.

Directed by Tetsuro Kodama, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero premieres April 22 in Japan. No North American release window has currently been announced.

HBO Max is putting together another high-profile reunion special, this time with the cast and crew of the Harry Potter films. The aptly titled Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, has the familiar faces from the magical film franchise return to the sets and revisit the characters that endeared them to millions of fans worldwide, recalling their experiences making the eight films.

The Jujutsu Kaisen prequel anime film has celebrated its Japanese premiere this week with a launch trailer showcasing the movie's epic action set pieces in full. As Yuta Okkotsu's romance with his childhood friend Rika is abruptly cut short by a tragedy, she rises as a monstrous curse attacking anyone who gets close to him with the film adapting Gege Akutami's popular manga series and exploring Yuta's backstory.

Directed by Sunghoo Park, Jujutsu Kaisen has premiered in Japan, with no North American release window currently announced.

One of the biggest breakout anime hits this year is Komi Can't Communicate, based on the manga series by Tomohito Oda. Following a shy high schooler who experiences a sudden upsurge in popularity due to her good looks, Komi works with classmate Hitohito Tadano to build her social skills and navigate the trials and tribulations of attending an elite high school in full view of her adoring classmates.

Directed by Ayumu Watanabe and Kazuki Kawagoe, Komi Can't Communicate Season 2 premieres April 2022 on Netflix.

The iconic Gundam franchise returns to its Universal Century timeline for the upcoming anime film Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island. Adapting the classic storyline of the same name from the original anime series, Amuro Ray flies into battle again, with the movie now boasting CG animation and other technical advances since its original telling in 1979 to help tide over the wait until the sequel to the previous film Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway.

Directed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island premieres early Summer 2022 in Japan.

While My Hero Academia Season 6 may be months away, a new look at the enormously popular anime series is set to unleash total war between the aspiring superheroes and villains. With Deku Midoriya leading the Pro-Heroes as the heir apparent to One for All and Tomura Shigaraki leading the villains, the sixth season will adapt the Paranormal Liberation War story arc from the manga series by creator Kohei Horikoshi.

My Hero Academia Season 6 premieres fall 2022 in Japan.

A new superhero series is coming to The CW to kick off the new year, with Naomi blending coming-of-age high school drama with super-powered action. The latest promo for the series features an introduction by series creator Ava DuVernay while the teenage hero quickly discovers her unique powers and how it relates to her lifelong love of comic books and Superman, in particular.

Developed for television by Ava DuVernay, Naomi premieres Jan. 11 on The CW.

With The Matrix Revolutions now out in theaters everywhere, the sequel to last year's hit video game adaptation Sonic the Hedgehog is poking some good-natured fun at the cyber-action movie in its latest promo. Replacing the lines of digital code with his trademark rings, Sonic offers audiences the choice between the blue or red quill, as Knuckles the Echidna prepares to make his big-screen debut.

Directed by Jeff Fowler, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 opens in theaters Feb. 8.

Just out for over a week in theaters everywhere and it's safe to say that Spider-Man: No Way Home is quickly shaping up to be the biggest movie of the year. With a fresh wave of marketing looking to continue the MCU's film's momentum, both critically and with record-breaking box office success, a new promo offers a glimpse as the MCU Spider-Man's new costume as he swings around Manhattan while the city dresses up for Christmas.

Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home is in theaters now.

Tom Holland is poised to become the undisputed king of the worldwide box office, with a new theatrical trailer for his upcoming film Uncharted debuting just in time for the holidays. Evoking moments and settings straight from the fan-favorite video game franchise the film is adapting, Uncharted pits Nathan Drake and Victor "Sully" Sullivan together as they travel the world to recover ancient treasure.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Uncharted opens in theaters Feb. 18.
